Components that Make up a Solar Electric System
Solar Panels: Solaqua Synergy installs solar panels made with photovoltaic (PV) cells, which will convert energy from sunlight to direct current (DC) electricity.
Inverter: A device that collects the DC electricity from the solar panel and changes it to AC electricity.
Electrical Panel: Brings power to your home or office building. Power is sent from an inverter to your electrical panel, which will control your lights, appliances, and more with solar energy. Another name for the electrical panel is the breaker box.
Utility Grid: This sends power from the "grid" your property. At night, you may require some power from the utility, but you will also be able to store some of the energy produced during daylight hours.
Utility Meter: Measures your energy production. You will actually see this going in reverse as you generate power!
Monitoring System: Tracks the solar energy you produce in real time and ensures that your solar power system is running optimally. You can have this system on a smartphone, home computer and/or tablet.
